Happy 18 month anniversary to us! We decided to use mom’s new cake pop maker with the recipe for our anniversary cake. Yum. They were delicious little balls of chocolatey goodness.
Jon and Anna came over with the boys for dinner. We love having them around.
Sometimes I go crazy and think it will be fun to “play with water.” Spencer very quickly soaked his whole outfit, so he got to strip down and play IN the water. 🙂 It was about the best day of his little life. He LIVES for bath time. He was furious with me the other day when he had to play in his exersaucer in the bathroom while I took a shower. He desperately wanted to be in the water.
He has started to brush his teeth with me in the morning. He prefers the real toothbrush over his banana toothbrush (in between his legs). We have to start his dental hygiene early.
This boy learned how to sit up all by himself this week!! It’s crazy to walk in his room after a nap and see him sitting with his blankie. He’s growing so fast.
I am spoiled. I won’t deny it. I’ve wanted a jogging stroller and bike trailer now that it’s getting pretty outside. At Costco I found a two-in-one! We’ve loved it so far. I’m grateful to have money in savings that we can use for fun gifts like this. I’m excited to be able to get outside and enjoy the weather with my boy, while I exercise.
Spencer was a huge help while I cleaned out the pantry.
We took these cute cousins on a walk in the new stroller! They were….unimpressed. 🙂 I love that the stroller has a plastic cover for when it’s cold outside. I have one less excuse to not exercise.
Markers are on the top 10 favorite list right now. He could play with them for hours.
Tom and I went on our first “non temple” date in months. We ate a delicious meal at the Olive Garden, and watched GI Joe at the theater. Tom and I love going to the movies, so it was a nice treat to get out. We hadn’t been to a movie since Les Mis in December. That’s just pathetic!
On Saturday morning, Tom left us to fly to New York for the DrivingSales Presidents Club. To wallow in our sadness, Spencer and I had a lunch date at In&Out. He wanted my food really bad. 🙂 I gave him a few bites of the bun. He loved it.
I’ll let Tom do a post on his trip to NYC, but this is a picture he put on Instagram of his flying buddies (Bart, Craig, and Ron).
I have been using this C25K app to get myself running again. It’s been great (and pretty easy) so far…until week five. On the first day I had to run 5 minutes straight – 3 times (pretty hard for me). On the second day, I had to run EIGHT minutes straight – 2 times (WHA?!). And I was shocked that on the third day, they expected me to run for TWENTY minutes straight! What a jump! I decided to run this one outside with the new stroller, and I totally did it. I ran 20 minutes, with only one stop for water. I was so proud of myself. I haven’t run for that long in years and years. Maybe someday I’ll lose these pregnancy pounds.
Spence gets very curious about how things work…like his jumper. He’s a lot like his daddy.
He didn’t crawl from point A to point B….but he got there. He does a funny little spin turn that gets him places. Crawling will be coming any day now.
