Spencer is in love with his Aunt Brittany.
(n.) A quantity of bread that is shaped and baked in one piece and usually sliced before being eaten.
During a dinner at the temple cafeteria last night, Kelly Nelson was gushing about the meatloaf from The Cheesecake Factory. It brought to my attention the severe dearth of loaf usage. Interestingly, the definition of loaf is specific to bread, but we definitely have meatloaf or cakeloaf. Worthy of so much more attention, I propose that we work loaf into our lives a little more.
- cubed butterloaf
- a loaf of cream cheese
- jello-loaf (felt a hyphen was appropriate here)
- a steaming loaf of horse manure, etc.
He loves taking selfies… 😉
Delicious Game-On side dish!
Spencer is the best lunch date ever. He loves helping me eat my celery.
Bath time joy.
Aunt Brittany joy.
My cute baby ended up with my rosy-cheeks gene. I started wondering if I had rosy cheeks when I was a baby (I know I get them now), and decided to do a little comparison. I think he’s mine. The little sweetheart.
I was trying to make the same face as Spencer…
Surprisingly, this is also Game-On. The cake was pretty good – it was a melting cake that was a little too melted.
We had Spencer’s five month photo shoot on the 26th. I can’t believe how fast time flies. He was very interested in all the words. I’m sure he’ll love when he can actually tell me what to write. So will I!!
We had quite the crew trying to get him to smile.
All he wanted to do was get out of the Bumbo.
And the winner is…this little angel face.
He looks so big in his swing. He still loves it, though. Thanks again, Aunt Tammy!!
It was a great week. As usual.
This is Spencer’s stubborn face. He didn’t want to eat anymore, so he turned his face away and refused to look at me until I gave up. Silly boy.
This picture I stole from Emily’s blog. Grandpa Krebs and the three littlest (Spencer, Elsie, Jack) in Kentucky. I love it!
I finally pulled out our Wii Fit. It had been 307 days since I used it last. Oops! I guess that’s what pregnancy and a baby will do to you.
“Let me help you with that laundry, mom.”
“I know I love this…but why?”
We are playing “Game On” with Matt and Sean right now (January 12-February 9). It is clean eating, exercising, sleeping, water drinking, habit making fun! 🙂 These are some delicious and healthy blueberry muffins that I baked. Yum!
Relaxing with dad…wishing he could reach his toy.
Tom’s Driving Sales soccer game! They played so well, and almost won. There’s always next time. Go, Tom!
Presenting: Ethan Charles Krebs, born January 17th and weighing in at 9lbs 2oz, 20in long. Congratulations, Jeff and Ashlee! This is boy #4 for them. We feel so blessed to have another perfect angel join the family.
He’s getting too mobile for this mom! He started out in the center of this play-mat, facing the other direction. Every time I looked over, he was in a different position.
This is the awesome Christmas gift that Tom bought me! I was finally able to get my crafty stuff all organized. It’s perfect!
Spencer loves taking “selfie” pictures of us. 😉
Our scrumptious array of fruits and vegetables from Bountiful Baskets Co-Op. It was perfect for this Game-On week! To our health! I’ve already lost five pounds playing this game. I’m a believer. Clean eating is the way to go.
Still in Kentucky! Lucky us!
Spencer sure feels lucky to have had so much fun with his Krebs family!
We braved the cold (really cold!) and went on a walk to the end of the street, where I thought there was my childhood park. BUT, they tore it down! I was so depressed! There are a couple of swings, but it’s pretty lame. RIP Ribbon Park.
Spencer started sucking both thumbs at the same time. He’s quite talented.
Puzzle time! We ended up doing 7 puzzles and 5,500 puzzle pieces in the three weeks we were in Kentucky. Wow.
I love him.
On January 8th, we flew back to Utah. It was a sad day. Although, I will admit that it was much different traveling with a baby – so getting back to our routine was quite the relief. Thanks, mom and dad, for an amazing Christmas vacation. We love you!
Such a big boy.
His plane food was way better than ours.
We had a three hour layover in Phoenix, Arizona!! I was SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED to see Tammy and the kids. Grandpa and Greg ended up coming, too! We were able to hang out in the terminal for a couple of hours. I miss Arizona so much. Seriously. Mostly, I miss my sister and her family – so it was amazing to see them. Even for such a short time!
A little airport wrestling.
Yucky inversion, flying back into Utah.
It has been quite the snowy January!
Costa Vida date night with our little boyfriend!
I ended up having a little surgery on my big toe to fix an ingrown toenail (by Dr. Devenport). I’ve never gotten one before. It hurt pretty dang bad. I’m praying that it all heals up as it should, and I never have to do that again!
“Mom! I love this toy!”
Spencer is going to be a child music prodigy. He loves playing and singing with us.
My handsome pre-mission husband. (This picture is in the piano room.)
This is Spencer’s very favorite Christmas present. He loves bouncing! Can’t you tell?
It doesn’t hurt that it tastes good, too. And it plays awesome music when he jumps on the mat. Score for Santa!
This boy is very inquisitive. He loves looking and studying. I have several pictures of him studying his toys. A budding existentialist.
I had to put Christmas away. Bother. I like our nice, clean basement though!
He still loves the moose.
But most of all, he loves his Aunt Brittany! He missed her so much when she went to Tennessee for two months to help Becky. Thank goodness she’s our roomie here in Utah!
Still in Kentucky, loving every minute of family time.
This 4 month old LOVES toys!
“Happy New Year, Mom. My goal is to be the sweetest angel alive.” Goal accomplished.
Bottle time with dad.
This is the look of pure joy and admiration that Spencer gets anytime he looks at his dad.
This is a face for Uncle Jimmy. He added a little drool to make it more special.
A little house rearranging.
And redecorating! Chuck, Emily, John, and Glen gave my mom a free day to decorate any room in her house for Christmas. She took advantage! Tom helped, but just because he’s a nice son-in-law. I was sick with the flu for the whole first week of the year. Yuck!
“Let me see that eyebrow. Thanks.”
Cousin Jackson was very good at sharing his toys with Spencer (aka: a mixing bowl and spoon).
