2012-12-29 14.09.32

Another sick day. Poor thing.

2012-12-31 21.53.21

He felt better by New Years Eve. Good thing, because we had a load of fun with Dave and Sheelagh Evans and their awesome kids. Spencer loved cousin Grace. We hosted the 24th annual Krebs Family New Years Eve Olympics. Don’t worry, my team won the whole shebang. It was me, Tom, Glen, and Harrison. Woohoo!

2012-12-31 18.42.01

A little post-dinner chatting.

2012-12-31 18.12.32

Playing Wits and Wagers – we won by the skin of our teeth!

2012-12-31 23.54.33

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We took this picture right after the ball dropped in 2013.

2012-12-29 17.13.18

The snow in Kentucky wasn’t quite as copious as the snow in Utah. Thank goodness!

2012-12-29 16.39.54

“Who needs a toy when you have a UK game to watch?!” Go Cats!

December 22-28, 2012

Still in Tennessee!

2012-12-22 11.20.29

Last minute Christmas shopping fun at Hobby Lobby in Tennessee!

2012-12-22 11.38.47

Sibs.

2012-12-22 12.03.50

The girls.

2012-12-22 18.35.57

December 22nd was the very first time Spencer rolled over! He was almost 4 months old. He rolled from his stomach to his back, and he hasn’t stopped since. He is thrilled, because he hated tummy time.

2012-12-23 14.23.22

Claire really wanted to hold Spencer. Can’t you tell?

2012-12-23 14.24.30

Brynn was so sweet with him! They were watching a show. Spencer LOVES anything with a screen. Should I be worried?

2012-12-22 09.42.32

The adorable Beckstrand girls.

2012-12-22 15.12.21

Mom’s homemade gift from Brittany. She learned to knit!

2012-12-23 14.46.13

The whole family in Tennessee.

2012-12-24 15.52.25

We drove back to Kentucky on the 23rd. We had a “candlelight” dinner for Joseph Smith’s birthday. It was delicious. My mom is a great cook. Here are Grandma and Grandpa Krebs, with the boy who never stops moving. I hate living so far away from my parents! We made the most of the time we had together.

2012-12-24 15.13.18

A cute Christmas outfit from Grandma Bay. It has Spencer the train on it.

2012-12-24 11.37.52

All the boys, after playing a rousing game of roofball. It was pretty cold the whole time we were there, but not cold enough to keep them from being outside.

2012-12-24 22.23.16

Baby’s first Christmas pajamas!

2012-12-24 21.33.12

Tom and I were able to perform Santa duties for the first time. It was pretty awesome. And fast. I was more excited than Spencer, that’s for certain. 🙂 Here is our little set-up on Christmas Eve.

2012-12-24 21.10.13

This boy is the best Christmas present of all! He is such a joy to us, every single day. I absolutely love being his mother.

2012-12-24 17.10.45

We performed the Nativity with all of the grandkids on Christmas Eve. Spencer had his debut as baby Jesus. Sarah Marcum was Mary, and Joshua was Joseph. Mom had these really awesome costumes upstairs, from her Stake Pageant days.

2012-12-24 18.51.54

Chuck was the donkey.

2012-12-24 18.43.05

Baby Jesus in his costume.

2012-12-25 11.02.56

Christmas Morning! Tom got a new book and tools to learn the lost art of shaving. There have been a few knicks, but I think he’s liking it!

2012-12-25 11.24.00

Dara made me this adorable frame. I love it!

2012-12-25 12.04.25

My favorite sister, Tammy got me this beautiful necklace with Spencer’s name and birthdate on it.

2012-12-25 10.22.46

A fun (and noisy) ball.

2012-12-25 10.21.34

Poor little guy got so tired during present opening on Christmas morning. He actually fell asleep in that position. He’s never done it before, and hasn’t done it since. Sweet boy.

2012-12-25 10.18.46

Jackson was so cute opening his gifts!

2012-12-25 10.03.15

He loves this singing dog.

2012-12-25 13.04.34

Spencer’s favorite toy. He plays with it every day! He’s gotten really good at spinning the wheel and learning his ABC’s. Thanks, cousin Tyler!

2012-12-25 21.28.45

“I love this Christmas business!!” We had a wonderful day full of great gifts, family, delicious food, puzzles, and “Les Miserables.” Thanks, Matt and Corinda, for watching Spencer!

2012-12-26 15.04.39

December 26th. Four months, already!?

2012-12-26 15.18.02

Tree-gazing with dad after the photo shoot.

2012-12-26 17.14.51

Sweet angel Aliya

2012-12-27 09.12.08

This high chair is 21 years old, and still holding strong. Spencer was loving the play time.

2012-12-28 10.02.22

My poor, sweet boy got his very first ear infection on December 28th. He was pretty miserable, even though he still looks pretty cute in this picture. We slept in dad’s recliner for two nights so that he could get some sleep.

December 15-21, 2012

Tom and Spencer have way too much fun.

2012-12-15 09.39.04

When Spencer was born, Tom asked, “When is he going to be able to play?” This boy is in for a great life.

2012-12-15 09.40.25

Stuck.

2012-12-15 18.10.34

We love having Jon and Anna around! Torbin and Zach are such little cuties.

2012-12-16 13.28.15

Selfie.

2012-12-16 15.08.15

Our last Sunday with these crazy kids. We had so much fun teaching the 9-10 year olds in primary. They were super talkative, but also super adorable. We loved them.

2012-12-18 00.53.37

This is the homemade Christmas gift that Tom made for dad – a shelf with buckets for sorting tools. He’s awesome.

2012-12-17 12.08.26

Peaceful slumber.

2012-12-15 13.06.09

On December 15th, we had a really fun Blodgett Christmas party at Grandpa Blodgett’s house. There were plenty of aunts, uncles, cousins, and kids of cousins to see. I still don’t know quite a few of Tom’s family members very well, so it was awesome to chat with everyone. JoAnne made delicious food, Santa came, the snow was plentiful, it was a great party.

2012-12-15 13.27.03

Spencer with his second Santa of the season. Still indifferent.

2012-12-15 14.54.48

We decided to plant the balloon arch from the ward party in Bishop O’Hara’s yard. The snow had quite a hay-day with it.

2012-12-15 16.36.04

We were having way too much fun Christmas shopping at Target. He’s the happiest boy.

2012-12-16 18.39.23

Spencer’s model pose.

2012-12-17 18.57.07

He now has found his tongue. And loves it almost more than his fingers.

2012-12-17 20.57.28

“Mom, dad put me in a bucket again…”

2012-12-17 20.57.27

“It’s pretty awesome.”

2012-12-17 20.55.54

On the eve of December 17th, we had a load of presents to open that we couldn’t haul to Kentucky with us. It was so much fun to have an early Christmas! We were very spoiled this year. (As always.) Spencer was too young to understand what opening presents meant, but he still loved his new stuff!

2012-12-17 21.14.07

“Am I doing this right?”

2012-12-17 21.20.58

His very first Christmas present!

2012-12-17 21.22.15

“New clothes! Yum!” Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa Bay!

2012-12-17 21.37.08

Spencer’s big Santa gift. He loves it!

2012-12-17 21.23.24

I got a new robe! Now I never have to get dressed! Woot! 🙂

2012-12-17 21.25.39

Dad’s new baby carrier….aka laptop bag for work. Looking good, boys!

2012-12-18 15.01.36

We flew to Kentucky on December 18th with John and LuCy (his girlfriend). Tom was on Delta, but his flights left and landed when ours did, so it worked out really well. Spencer was absolutely perfect on his very first flight, and slept almost the entire day. He’s such an angel. Tom and I both woke up with a nasty stomach bug, so I was very grateful to have John and LuCy around to help with the boy.

2012-12-19 13.24.22

“Who is this new pretty face? I think I love her.” I think Aunt Emily loves you too, Spence.

2012-12-19 12.15.25

I don’t know if the boy got enough attention in Kentucky. 😉 It was so fun to finally have my family meet him! We had such a great holiday with everyone. Matt and Corinda, Chuck and Emily, Mom, Dad, and Glen all live in KY right now. Jeff and Ashlee stayed in Oregon this year, because she was 8 months pregnant. Tammy and Greg stayed in Arizona…still not sure why. We definitely missed them!

2012-12-20 16.24.28

Go Cougars!! I’m starting him young.

2012-12-19 09.46.26

Sweet Aliya.

2012-12-19 19.58.02

One of the nights in Kentucky, we drove through Southern Lights with the family. It was very cool. And cold.

2012-12-20 13.03.53

Lunch with Dara at Ramsey’s. I love her. Spencer does, too.

2012-12-20 16.42.53

Tom worked in my dad’s office down in the basement most of the time we were home. Thanks for working so hard for us, honey. We love you!

2012-12-21 17.04.33

On December 21st, we hopped in Chuck and Emily’s BMW and drove to Chattanooga, Tennessee to visit Chris, Becky, and the girls. It was a quick weekend, but we had a great time! Baby Kylee is so sweet and tiny. Mom and Dad Bay, and Brittany were there as well. We got to open our homemade and sibling gifts on the 22nd. It was so fun! Brynn was pretty excited about all of the gifts under the tree.

2012-12-21 13.45.14

He was pretty happy about driving four hours to see his cousins.

2012-12-21 19.54.40

Spencer sure loved little KyKy. He is lucky to have so many awesome cousins! Too bad they live really far away.

2012-12-21 19.57.55

He’s never looked so big.

2012-12-21 19.59.39

Lovings from gorgeous cousin Brynn.

December 8-14, 2012

2012-12-08 18.31.03

We had a really fun “Ugly Pajama Breakfast for Dinner” party with some of Tom’s friends on December 8th at our house. Since we did not already own ugly pajamas, I decided to get crafty and sew some so that we all could match. And win. We totally won.

2012-12-09 21.17.58

We got a Cocomotion for my efforts. Definitely worth it. We got a second Cocomotion from the White Elephant gift exchange portion of the night. Lucky times two! It was fate, because our sister-in-law Ashlee was in a state of depression from when her 4 year old broke her Cocomotion. We were happy to share.

2012-12-09 23.41.42

Showing off the awesome pj’s.

2012-12-09 21.26.26

Ugly Pajama Family photo.

2012-12-14 11.09.41

On the morning of December 14th, I had to go to the church to set up for our Ward Christmas Party. Tom and I were put in charge of planning the whole thing. My perfect angel baby slept most of the morning at the church!

2012-12-14 17.37.48

This was the final set-up.

2012-12-13 20.46.31

Assembling the balloon arch.

2012-12-14 19.01.07

Fun at the party!

2012-12-14 20.02.18

Brother Hales won the Ugly Sweater portion of the night. Surprised?

2012-12-15 09.42.51

Spencer’s first Santa. He was pretty indifferent. 🙂

2012-12-15 10.03.32

We found the best Santa for the party!! He was so legit. Mark helped us find him from the Stake.

2012-12-15 09.15.18

Lots of snow on December 15th!

2012-12-13 22.19.58

This kid gets serious toe jam.

2012-12-11 14.01.28

I love his sweet reverent hands.

2012-12-11 19.35.53

We had a Driving Sales Christmas Party at Jared’s house on December 11th. Tom has a great team at work. It was a fun party with delicious crepes!

2012-12-12 21.08.30

Better than Christmas Cake. Need I say more?

December 1-7, 2012

I love December. Snow. Christmas. New Years Eve. Delicious food. Beautiful music. Loads of family time. Life couldn’t get better, right? Here is how the start of our month went…

2012-12-01 20.37.46

Spencer is starting to enjoy toys a little bit more (he just turned 3 months).

2012-12-01 22.35.13

Someone discovered how delicious fingers could be!

2012-12-02 10.36.42

A picture from Elder Bay – this is his MTC district in Ghana.

2012-12-02 18.15.45

Watching the LDS Christmas Devotional with dad. Another thing I love about December! Please note our gorgeous Christmas decorations in the back. I’ll add that to my love-list, too. We couldn’t decide whether or not it would be worth the effort to get them from storage. It most definitely was worth it.

2012-12-04 11.42.10

Spencer’s owl face.

2012-12-04 12.29.31

Facetime with cousin Kylee in Tennessee. What would we do without technology!?

2012-12-04 14.05.37

This shot was taken to document Spencer’s flat head at the beginning of December. We’re hoping that the problem corrects itself without a helmet. It became that way from sleeping 10 hours a night. Not sure which I would prefer…

2012-12-05 11.42.29

Our first Christmas card! Tom did the awesome design and photoshopped the adorable glasses. I have one talented husband!

2012-12-06 10.05.23

“Mom. I seriously love these things.” He had to hold his hand in his mouth because the sucking motions got a little out of control.

2012-12-06 16.03.48

A Christmas package! Aunt Tammy, Emma, and Grant have spoiled Spencer rotten! He has great clothes and toys thanks to them. What would we do without generous family?

2012-12-06 16.21.34

He loves all of his loot!

2012-12-06 18.01.41

On December 6th, we had a really fun date night with Jon and Anna at the Desert Star Theater. It was called “My Big Fat Mormon Christmas.” They had a lot of talent. It was hilarious and the food was great. Thanks, mom and dad for giving us your tickets! And babysitting! We sure are lucky.

2012-12-06 18.02.22

All of us at our table. The quarters were a little tight.

2012-12-07 16.31.49

He has fallen in love with his new moose. Thanks, Aunt Tammy!!

2012-12-07 22.04.47

His two favorite things – fingers and Moose. I can’t ever get enough of this adorable child. He brings me so much joy.

2012-12-03 12.00.35

We went to the dentist as a family. Brian Abrams, who was my seminary teacher my freshman year of high school, is now our dentist. It was really fun to see him and catch up.

2012-12-03 20.13.37

 No man is an island…
